Addiction Counseling in Baltimore: Whole Person Support

At The Caring Clinics, we recognize that recovery requires a strong foundation. That’s why we combine medication and therapy together from day one.

Opioid Recovery

Requires a Prescription

Opioid use disorder affects your body and your life at the same time. Medication addresses the physical side: withdrawal, cravings, and dependence. Counseling addresses the patterns, trauma, and circumstances that made opioids feel like the only option. At The Caring Clinics, you get both.

No judgment. Just understanding.

What Counseling

At The Caring Clinics
Actually Includes

Individual Counseling
You'll meet one-on-one with a counselor who learns your name, your goals, and your story. Sessions focus on the reasons behind your use: the stress, pain, trauma, or circumstances that made opioids feel like the only way through. Together, you'll build the coping skills and mindset for lasting change.
Group Therapy
Recovery is harder in isolation. Group sessions connect you with people who understand what you're going through, because they've been there themselves. A trained counselor leads every session.
Coordinated MAT Support
Your counselors, nurses, and medical providers all work from the same treatment plan. When your medication needs adjustment, your counselor knows. When your therapy goals shift, your care team adapts
Whole-Person Support
Through Health Home services, registered nurses work as care managers alongside your counselors and medical team: coordinating appointments, following up on medications, linking you to community resources, and supporting you and your family through every stage of treatment. When your team works together, nothing falls through the cracks.

Why Medication and Counseling

Work Better
Together

Where medication stops withdrawal and reduces cravings, counseling goes a step further: it addresses the triggers, thought patterns, and life circumstances that contributed to opioid use. That’s why combining both is the most effective approach for opioid use disorder, and why The Caring Clinics builds them into the same plan for every patient.

A Team That Goes Beyond Clinical Training

Our counseling team holds Maryland state certifications in addiction counseling, including CAC-AD and CSC-AD credentials, alongside Licensed Master Social Workers. Our team also includes peer recovery specialists: people who have navigated addiction themselves, and now support patients as part of their care.

Our team doesn’t rush you. They listen, they remember your name, and they walk with you through setbacks instead of writing you off for having one. That genuine and judgment-free care elevates the patient experience well beyond what medication alone can provide.
