A MAT Program in Baltimore Built Around Your Clients' Continuity of Care
When a client in your program needs medication-assisted treatment, the goal is simple: get them the care they need without disrupting what you've built.
Who We
Work With
Our MAT program in Baltimore serves a range of community partners supporting people in recovery.
- General recovery programs
- Residential treatment programs
- Sober living and halfway houses
- Hospital discharge planners
- Correctional reentry programs
- Community behavioral health agencies
- Court-referred and drug diversion programs
If your organization works with adults navigating opioid use disorder, we’re built to work alongside you.
What Our Community Partner
Program Includes
Dedicated Liaison Support
Each partnership includes a consistent point of contact on our team, available even after normal clinic hours. With proper authorization, your liaison provides regular progress updates via your preferred channels: phone, secure email, or written summaries. They can also join care team meetings when appropriate, within HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 guidelines.
Medication Delivery
For approved clients, we coordinate proactive medication delivery to ensure continuity of care. Under qualifying circumstances, medication may also be shipped anywhere in Maryland. Our team works with yours to determine what’s feasible based on each client’s situation.
Transportation Coordination
Clients who need help getting to the clinic can access our transportation coordination service. This is a needs-based resource, available to clients who would otherwise face a barrier to consistent care within the Greater Baltimore area.
After-Hours Intake and Same-Day Dosing
Through our MAP+ (MAT Access Plus) program, community partners can access after-hours intake and same-day medication delivery for clients who need it. This is especially valuable when a client enters your program later in the day without having received their dose. To schedule, your facility will need to facilitate a brief audio/video telehealth session with our intake team by 3 PM on weekdays, or between 8:30 and 10 AM on Sundays.
Why Agencies Choose
The Caring Clinics
20 Years Serving Baltimore
Founded in 2006, The Caring Clinics has spent two decades building trust across Baltimore communities. We understand the specific recovery landscape here, and we’ve structured our program around it.
Community Scale, Not Chain Volume
Our six-location model means clients aren’t processed in bulk. Staff track individual progress and adjust treatment plans based on real relationships. That consistency matters when you’re coordinating care across a full caseload of clients.
CARF Accredited
Our program meets the standards set by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. Your organization can refer with confidence knowing clients are receiving care that meets independent quality benchmarks.
Broad Insurance and Medicaid Acceptance
We accept Medicaid, Medicare Part B, Medicare Advantage plans, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, and Veterans Insurance (VA-CCN Optum/Community Care Network). That coverage range removes financial barriers for the populations most residential programs serve.
Common Questions From
Community Partners
Do you have experience working with residential programs specifically?
Yes. We have structured our intake, communication, and coordination processes with dozens of community partners across Maryland to provide individualized, compassionate care for our clients.
How does medication delivery and transportation coordination work?
We understand that transportation is one of the most common barriers to consistent MAT care. For clients in the Greater Baltimore area within the I-695 Beltway, we offer needs-based transportation coordination to and from the clinic. Under certain qualifying circumstances, medication may also be shipped anywhere in Maryland. Contact our team to discuss what’s possible for your clients.
How does MAP+ scheduling work?
To access MAP+ after-hours intake and same-day dosing, your facility needs to facilitate an audio/video telehealth session with our intake team by 3 PM on weekdays, or between 8:30 and 10 AM on Sundays. When scheduling, please have the following available if possible: date and provider of the client’s last dose, and medication delivery address. The client will need to have access to a working computer in a private space to conduct the telehealth visit.
Can you accommodate urgent or walk-in referrals?
During clinic hours, we can accommodate walk-in intakes up to one hour before closing. Through MAP+, same-day intakes are also available after hours. Please note that intake appointments typically take up to two hours; coordinating ahead helps both teams plan accordingly.
How do you handle communication with our team under HIPAA?
With proper authorization and releases in place, we share updates through your preferred channel: phone, secure email, or written progress summaries. Our liaison can also participate in care team meetings. All communication follows strict HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 protocols.
What happens if a client relapses or needs a higher level of care?
We treat setbacks as part of the recovery process, not as grounds for discharge. Our team adjusts treatment plans, increases support where needed, and works with your staff to identify what additional resources the client requires. If a higher level of care is needed, we coordinate with clients to ensure adequate support and continuity of treatment.
